✨Düsseldorf, you inspired us! ✨
What an evening! Our latest Sip & Hogan Practice event at Memox Düsseldorf brought together an incredible group of Hogan-certified professionals for an inspiring mix of learning, discussion, and connection.
A special highlight of the evening was welcoming Garrett Shaffer, Regional Director at Hogan Assessments, who shared key findings from the The Leadership Divide study. His insights sparked lively discussions around a challenge many organizations face today: the gap between the qualities often rewarded when selecting leaders and the leadership qualities employees actually value most.
Garrett Shaffer: One of the most interesting findings for me is the gap between the qualities that often help people emerge as leaders and what employees actually want from those leaders. The German findings reinforce the importance of looking beyond confidence or visibility and focusing on the characteristics that help leaders build trust, communicate effectively, and create the conditions for sustained team performance.
Beyond the presentation, the event truly came to life in the small-group sessions. Participants explored practical case studies, exchanged experiences from their own organizations, and challenged each other’s perspectives. The result was a dynamic and engaging dialogue that reflected the depth of expertise in the room.
Most importantly, Sip & Hogan Practice once again proved how valuable it is when practitioners come together to learn from one another, explore new research, and translate insights into everyday practice.
A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us, shared their experiences, and contributed thoughtful questions and perspectives. We are already looking forward to the next opportunity to continue the conversation.
