When I took on the CEO role at metaberatung, my compass was always clear: I wanted to bring more strategic self-awareness into the business world. I believed — and still do — that people and organizations thrive when they truly understand themselves. My passion was translating complex personality insights into practical guidance, helping leaders and teams align who they are with what they do.

In those early years, I was every inch the visionary. I could see the potential of what we were building long before it existed — the impact of assessments, the beauty of well-crafted development programs, competency modeling and mapping, all the meaningful conversations we could enable. I thrived on ideas, connections, and possibilities.

But if I’m honest, my strength was never operations. I was far more interested in why we were doing things than how we were going to get them done. That’s the double-edged sword of a visionary leader: clarity of purpose often comes with a certain blindness to process.

2020–2025: Turning Vision into Structure

Between 2020 and 2025, metaberatung went through deep transformation. The world was changing — and so were we. We expanded, restructured, experimented, and sometimes stumbled. My focus was still on the big picture: building a company that lives its purpose and helps others do the same.

And yet, as the years went on, I started to feel the limits of a purely visionary approach. Our ideas were strong, but execution sometimes lagged behind. We had talent, but not always alignment. We were moving fast — but not always in the same direction. That’s when I began looking for a way to anchor vision in discipline — to connect the heart and the head of leadership.

Discovering EOS: A Framework for Balance and Clarity

In 2024, I started implementing the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). What drew me in was its simplicity and humanity. EOS doesn’t bury you in process — it helps you bring clarity, accountability, and rhythm into your business without losing its soul. I learned to balance what I naturally do — leading — with what I had long neglected — managing.

EOS calls this balance LMA™: Lead, Manage, and hold people Accountable. It sounds simple, but for me it was transformative. And: I am still learning and evolving.

  • If you only lead, you might inspire people but lack execution.
  • If you only manage, you might control tasks but demotivate people.
  • When you do both, you create a team that’s aligned and productive.

Leading had always come easily: inspiring, connecting, and setting direction. Managing meant something else entirely — defining expectations, measuring progress, giving consistent feedback, and addressing issues directly. Over time, I realized that structure isn’t the enemy of creativity — it’s what allows a vision to actually live and breathe.

The Integration

By 2025, I had not only refined how I lead but also redefined what metaberatung and Personality Guidance in Switzerland stand for. We became more focused, more consistent, and more aligned. My leadership evolved from being vision-driven to being vision-led and execution-grounded. I now see leadership as an act of integration — holding space for both inspiration and discipline, for people and performance, for reflection and results.

And in a way, that’s what personality guidance has always been about: understanding your own design deeply enough to grow beyond it.

If I had to summarize my leadership journey, I would say this:

I started with self-awareness, found my strength in vision, and learned that true leadership is the art of turning vision into structure — without losing heart.
